upReach 2024-27 Stategy - Flipbook - Page 7
I was attracted to upReach as none of my family were in professional
careers. My Programme Coordinator supported me with application
reviews, mock interviews and informal chats, helping me secure a
graduate role at the Of昀椀ce for National Statistics!
Maintaining my involvement with upReach was very important to me.
As a founding member of upReach’s Alumni Advisory Board, I use
my experience as a past Associate to represent current Associates,
championing social mobility.

Transforming society
To help undergraduates from lower socio-economic backgrounds access and
sustain top graduate employment, we collaborate with employers, universities and
social mobility organisations to boost awareness of the importance and impact of
social mobility.
Inclusivity
Ensuring employer partners’ recruitment processes are inclusive of applicants from
lower socio-economic backgrounds.
Collaboration
Working with other social mobility organisations to maximise our in昀氀uence and raise
awareness of the importance of social mobility across society.
Policy and advocacy
Engaging with the media to in昀氀uence and shape government policy, and advocate
for our undergraduates on a wider stage.
The work we have done with upReach has made a huge difference to the
students who have been able to participate in the programme. They have
bene昀椀tted from the support signi昀椀cantly and have secured interviews,
internships, placements and other positive outcomes including graduate
roles. As we have expanded the programme its impact has only grown, and
we look forward to seeing this improve as we continue.
