Working class students with a 昀椀rst-class degree are less likely to secure an
elite job than more privileged students with a 2:2.2 On average they earn
£6,291 a year less than their advantaged peers in the same jobs.3
Unfair? We think so too. Since 2012, upReach have supported undergraduates from lower
socio-economic backgrounds to access and sustain top graduate jobs. Our unique 1-to-1
support model means every undergraduate receives sustained, tailored support from a speci昀椀c
member of our team.
Our vision is of a society where everybody has an equal opportunity to
realise their full career potential, regardless of social background.
We’ve already transformed thousands of lives but, as class gaps widen, making our vision a reality
requires us to go further. By 2027, we will:
