upReach 2024-27 Stategy - Flipbook - Page 11
What’s next?
Although the demonstrated impact of our work is already well above our benchmarked peers,
we want to enhance it even further. To do this, we will ‘double down’ on our double bene昀椀t
approach, evaluate our impact more rigorously than ever, and make sure our support is as
effective as possible.
More in昀氀uence
Our impact aligns
with UN SDGs 4,
8 and 10
Leverage the experience and knowledge we
have accumulated to ‘double down’ on our double
bene昀椀t approach, playing a more active role in
in昀氀uencing our employer partners and shaping
government policy.
More evaluation
Conduct further evaluations of our impact, including
an independent evaluation in 2025, which we hope
will prove the bene昀椀t of what we do, inform effective
practice, and reveal areas where we can improve
across the next three years.
More effective support
Based on evaluations of our impact, adapt
programmes to meet the changing needs of
undergraduates, universities and employers, enhance
our technology, and equip our programme delivery
teams to increase the effect of our support.
Ensuring bright students from lower income homes can get a foothold on the
tech ladder is important for fairness, but also to meet the demand for future
talent – which is why we’re proud to fund upReach. Our 昀椀rst grant three
years ago helped establish an impactful programme, probably the biggest of
its kind in the UK, that has seen scores of students complete internships and
placement opportunities and receive job offers in tech.
